The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsuladze, awarded the winners of the first stage of “Studfest 2025” and wished success to the students involved in the second stage.

At the closing event, the Minister spoke with the students about the need to promote a healthy lifestyle and teamwork among young people, and in this regard, he drew attention to the importance of “Studfest”.

Within the framework of the first stage of “Studfest”, up to 15,000 young people participated in sports tournaments and educational/cognitive competitions held between universities, and 350 of them were declared winners.

The second stage of the Student Festival has already begun. Currently, the volunteer component is underway, and students from 18 higher and vocational educational institutions are implementing volunteer initiatives. The festival will continue in September with a cultural component, which includes six different and diverse competitions.

Within the framework of sports, the following were held: futsal, padel, tennis, stand-up shooting, 3×3 basketball, street football, paintball, karting, arm wrestling, table tennis, Georgian wrestling, chess, backgammon, checkers, darts, rock climbing, judo, seven-a-side rugby, mini football, sambo tournament, billiards, bowling, volleyball, swimming, badminton, sprint, eSports (FIFA), handball, rafting.

Educational/cognitive competitions included an intellectual competition among students, debates, and the “City Game.”

The closing event of the festival was also attended by Vakhtang Baakashvili, Acting Head of the Youth Agency of the LEPL, Irakli Gvilava, Head of the City Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of the Tbilisi City Hall, representatives of universities and students.

The festival is organized by the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, the LEPL Youth Agency, the Tbilisi Municipality City Hall and the Association of Student Organizations of Georgia, and students of higher and vocational educational institutions can participate in it.
